• Project Status
• New schema attributes & uses: fsuEduImageURL, partial RFC2307-like attributes (Unix /etc/passwd attributes).

• Completed action items from last time: Added CARS password changing ability to FSUID page!
• Action Items

1. [UCS, IS] Disable the ability for people to change their passwords using the “native” interface for CARS, Secure Login (re-direct to fsuid.fsu.edu) and Active Directory (AD should be done; waiting on others).
2. [Jeff, Ethan, IS DBAs] Move Oracle tables from ODDL machine (“larissa4”) to an OTI Oracle instance (Ethan & Craig have this almost done)
3. [Fran, Jeff, Ethan] Get remaining data from CARS/Oracle/fire2.fsu.edu (FSUcard type1 & type 2, Privacy (Publish) flag, phone number, others) (Still would like to get enough attributes to replicate the www.fsu.edu “search” engine)
4. [Jeff] Build FSUID web page for ERP “visitor” accounts. Use “vis-loginname” convention for FSUIDs (needs to be designed & built)
5. [Jeff, Ethan] Continue researching/tweaking eDirectory performance options (installed an LDAP “alarm” scanning script)
6. [Tom, Jeff] Get mdsacns up as a read/write replicant (attempting try # “n+1” J)
7. [Dongmei, Jeff] Continue converting “raw” web pages into cleaner interfaces (continuing work on fsuid.fsu.edu; will begin to work on search & Helpdesk pages)
8. [Jeff, Sean, Ethan] Finish “production-izing” all eDir instances (put “modify” Perl scripts in cron on mdsoti, get backups on mdsoti, etc.) (ongoing)
9. [IS, ODDL] – Connect C.A.S. to Secure Login, Blackboard & FSUID, all pointing to eDir. Continue to investigate using RFC2307 for departmental UNIX authentication.
10. [Jeff, Sean] Set up NWR/ERP development eDir box (sdeved01) (on hold)
11. [Jeff, Ethan, Sean, Derek – longer term] Actually get DirXML connections configured and going for ldap1, ldap2, etc. Migrate the functionality away from the “home grown” Perl scripts to using the Novell software.
12. [Ethan, Jeff, OTI WSG] Build the FSU AD shim/remote loader/password sync install (when OTI WSG deems it “safe”). Populate appropriate user fields/re-arrange the OUs within AD using the information in the eDir. Investigate managing non-OTI Active Directory users in eDir – had a discussion with Ken Johnson of COM.
13. [Chuck, other ERP HR functional people] Work HR PeopleSoft gaps connected to metadirectory (resurrect Keith Hamilton’s PeopleCode for eDir sync) – had a meeting with ERP HR team members, Chuck & Ritch to do some initial discussions.
14. [Group – longer term] Continue working SSN à FSNSN replacement discussions with campus & design “FSUSN” algorithm (new SSN-like private attribute) – (Max is taking our list of recommendations and working it through ERP & Admissions/Registrar)
