Status
- Generalized the Outlook/Exchange authentication
method (ala http://webmail.fsu.edu)
and added “Associate Account” option to personal & Helpdesk pages
(for “approved” mail domains only).
- Added UCS email forwarding information to
personal & Helpdesk pages.
- Trimmed out the Outlook info on
personal/Helpdesk pages.
- Updated public search to include students,
using same criteria as on www.fsu.edu
search engine (ex: http://devfsuid.fsu.edu/search).
- Getting ready to migrate IS Secure Login to
use “native” FSUID and eDir, rather than ldap2 (http://admin-c6140-10.uc.fsu.edu:8080/SecureLogin)
- Hammering out last details of how to reset
College of Medicine WinAD passwords via LDAP.
- Investigating use of eDir dynamic LDAP groups
to allow “filtered views” of, say, departmental FSUIDs. An example for the Film School (Robert
Braddock is interested in this):

- Larry Conrad has tasked IS to wade back into
the Portal waters again and has tasked UCS with redesign of FSU home
page.
- Fran has agreed to modify UCS/CARS password
change algorithm to match modified FSUID password change algorithm.

Roll out FSUSN: Populate FSUSN attribute from USER_ACCT field & build
an FSUID personal page to display a person’s FSUSN (password-challenged,
like password reset).

documentation explaining how to use eDir for authentication (pure LDAP,
UNIX passwd file, RADIUS, Apache auth_ldap, etc.)

IS] Integrate FSUID management closer to CARS (e.g., when person
changes CARS password or user name, immediately
change it in the eDir!)

Write Perl “LDAP failover” module; get mod_perl working on fsuid.fsu.edu.

Re-design CARS pages to match look & feel of FSUID pages.

working SSN à FSNSN replacement discussions with campus .
- Populate/associate Novell account information
into eDir (still need a Novell
proxy admin account; have used my personal Novell account for some
initial LDAP browsing)

enabler” web page (done) and
have OTI create new FSU AD accounts disabled by default (this will force
Outlook ßà FSUID associations) (have new Helpdesk
option for now, but perhaps this should be front-burnered?)
