New Attribute fsuEduJesStatus

New Attribute fsuEduJesStatus is added to the iPlanet.
fsuEduJesStatus can have 4 values:
  • null value means they haven't been JES'ed at all
  • value of "requested" means the have choosen to upgrade via Dongmei's webpage
  • value of "in progress" means that we have started converting their accounts
  • value of "JESed" means that we have completed converting their accounts
It is possible for someone to be half-JESed or have one or more of their garnet/mailer/acns accounts JES'ed but other accounts have not been. This is the case now for all of the @acns accounts and after 6/23 it will be the case for anyone who has a @garnet that was forcefully converted and also has a @mailer.

For FSUID web page, the person should be able to "Upgrade Email Account" as long as they have at least one non-JESed account left.

You can tell if an individual account has been JES'ed by matching the values for two attributes. Each of their garnet/mailer/acns accounts should be listed in 'fsuEduCARSHostCodes'. If there is a matching value in 'mailEquivalentAddress' then that means that particular account has been JESed. Otherwise, the account is still on garnet or mailer.

If they have an fsuEduJesStatus of "requested" or "in progress" then we just don't want to give them the link to "Upgrade" even if they have some non-JESed accounts left. And if they find their way to the "Upgrade" link via some other means (bookmark or link from outside FSUID), then we should show them a "Your upgrade is in progress, and should be complete 24 hours after you originally requested it" sort of page.

Added on 6/29/2007:
A new value is added into the fsuEduJesStatus:
  • "partial" : Indicates that some email accounts are JESed accounts, but some are not, but they can be JESed.
For example, somebody's garnet account is JESed, but the mailer account is not.

-------------------------
Added on 2/27/2008:
Two new values are added into the fsuEduJesStatus:
  • "forwardonly" : Indicates that some email accounts only can be forwarded to other email addresses.
  • "deleted" : Indicates that some email accounts cannot be used any more.
